As part of our Integration Services, CtiPath utilizes a two part testing methodology: Ready for Use (RFU) testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Using both RFU and UAT, CtiPath can better ensure that the system is operational and ready for production and reduce risk associated with large scale implementation and migration projects.
Ready for Use (RFU) Testing
Near the end of the implementation or migration process, CtiPath will perform Ready for Use (RFU) testing on the system before turning it over to the customer for User Acceptance Testing (UAT). RFU testing ensures that the system functions correctly within operational guidelines and meets the general needs of the customer. Furthermore, successful RFU testing indicates that the system is ready to be used in a real-world setting. This type of testing often includes functional testing, usability testing, and other types of tests that are designed to evaluate the product or system from the perspective of the operations team.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
After CtiPath completes Ready for Use (RFU) testing, the system is turned over to the customer for User Acceptance Testing (UAT). (CtiPath is always available to assist the customer in creating UAT plans or carrying out UAT.) UAT is typically performed by the users themselves, or by a group of representative users, rather than by the developers or testers. The goal of UAT is to ensure that the product or system is usable, meets the user’s requirements, and is ready for use in a real-world setting. UAT often includes functional testing, usability testing, and other types of tests that are designed to evaluate the product or system from the perspective of the end user.
